Bio

Wanda D. Mulhern, 81, of Waco, passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with the Rev. Cyril Ejaidu officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. and continue after the Rosary that will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Wanda Dean was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Bob and Edna Middleton Vickers. She attended Waco schools and the University of Houston. She married Thomas J. Mulhern on Dec. 7, 1959, in Waco. Wanda spent 25 years in N.Y.C. and on Long Island, N.Y. She taught physical fitness several years at Our Lady of the Assumption School in the Bronx and moved back to Waco in 1978. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, St. Jerome Women's Society, the Social Awareness Committee, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary #1358 and American Legion Post #121. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas J. Mulhern; and two brothers. She is survived by daughters, Mary Borrelli, of Edwards, N.Y., and Anne Schreiber, of Waco; son, Matthew Mulhern and wife, Kathy, of Victoria; grandchildren, Amanda Beyer and Stevie Ray Schreiber of Hewitt; great-grandchildren, Dylan M. Dunn, Angel Marie Rodriguez and Sadie Palmie; and cousins, Thomas Lee Middleton and Jennifer Middleton; and many other family members and friends. Waco Tribune-Herald: 12/28/2011...M8
