Bio
Thomas, also known as "T.J." Mulhern, 84, of Waco, passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at his residence. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with the Msgr. William Brooks and Father Selvarah officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Rosary and visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Thomas was born in The Bronx, N.Y., to the late Matthew and Minnie Mulhern. He worked for the City of New York and following his move to Texas he worked for Certainteed. He was a founder and member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1838. He also served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. T.J. was preceded in death by a sister; and five brothers. He is survived by wife of 60 years, Wanda Vickers Mulhern, of Waco; son, Matthew Mulhern and wife, Kathy, of Victoria; daughters, Mary Borrelli, of Edwards, N.Y., and Anne Schreiber, of Hewitt; grandchildren, Amanda Beyer and Stevie Ray Schreiber, of Hewitt; great-grandchildren, Dylan M.
