King, Thomas L., b. May 19, 1884, d. Jan 27, 1913, Sec. 30 12-6 Mrs. Ora Ellenwood and Rawlins King of this vicinity received word that their brother, Tom King, residing at Garfield, Washington was killed Sunday, January 20, 1913. He was employed on an electric railroad and was assisting the men with the big snow shovel clearing the lines when the big machine run of the track. Mr. King was the first man to get out ot the car and was electrocuted by the torn wires when he stepped out. His wife was visiting her parrents in Indiana and the body was kept a week awaiting the arrival of Mrs. King. They were married in October 1911. Mr. King was 28 years, 8 months, and 8 days of age. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. King, all former residents of this couty, being residents of Stringtown, but left here three years ago. Adams County Free Press, February 8, 1913, page 4
