Charles Cate VAN ALSTYNE - Charles Dossey Cate, 84, passed away, Sunday, December 11, 2011, in Sherman. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 14, at First Baptist Church, Van Alstyne with Jimmy Tarrant officiating. Interment will be at Altoga Cemetery. Mr. Cate is survived by sons Charles David Cate, Edward Lee Cate, Colin Werner Cate and Michael Helm Cate; daughters Carolyn Sue Cate Summerfield and Bonnie Cate Moppin; brother Maurice Cate; sisters Dorothy Baker, Ruby Noel and Mildred Parker; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
