Johnson, Marvin Allen "Johnny" , 87, passed away on December 10, 2011 in Scottsdale, AZ. He was born on December 15, 1923 in Texas to Allie and Mattie Johnson. He has lived in Arizona for over 32 years. He was a retired truck driver and member of the Teamsters Union. He was a man of many talents. Johnny drove a school bus for Paradise Valley School System. He was also a paramedic and fire fighter with Grove City, Ohio fire department and served as the fire department chaplain which was something he was extremely proud of. Johnny was very active at Christ's Church of the Valley and earlier at Grove City Church of Christ where he served as a deacon and elder. His trucking handle was "Mad Dog" Johnson and the story of how that name came to be speaks for itself...He also served in the US Army during WWII which was something he seldom spoke of but was extremely proud to have done. Johnny loved the Lord and his family and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his sons James (Susan) Johnson and Randy Johnson, daughters; Marsha Hughes and Cathy (Bill) Moore, sister Ann McNeil, stepchildren; Bob, Linda, and Neal Frechette and Vicky (Keith) Tuel, 23 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren! Also surviving is a long time care taker, Vicky and special friend Lorene. Visitation and funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, 10-11am service to begin at 11:00 am at Christ's Church of the Valley 7007 W. Happy Valley Rd. Peoria, AZ. Interment to follow at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
