Bio

Joseph G. Uher, 80, of Schuyler died October 20, 1980 at West Point Hospital. Funeral services were at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jerome Dickes officiating. Burial was in Schuyler Cemetery. Uher, the son of Joseph and Josephine (Marik) Uher, was born June 25, 1900 in Cuming County. He was educated at Dodge Public School. He married Blanche Dostal October 12, 1926 at Tabor and farmed northeast of Howells until he retired to Schuyler in 1967. Survivors include four daughters, Erma (Ray) Dinslage and Lavanie (Wilbur) Doernemann, both of West Point, Arlene (Dennis) Schultz, Loveland, CO., Deloris (Jack) Adams, Schuyler; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Mary Richtig and Adella (Joe) Novak, both of Clarkson; and Tillie (Frank) Hamsa, Fremont. He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
