Married Charles Willis Irelan on June 27, 1882. Nonegenarian Is Taken Here Alice Irelan, of 824 Drake Avenue, died Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock following a lingering illness. She was one of the city's oldest residents and was 91 years, six months and 11 days of age at the time of her passing. Born in Mahaska county, Iowa, November 1, 1863, she was the daughter of James and Amelia Shaw Sterner. She came to this county as a small girl and had lived practically all of her life here. She was a widow of Willis Irelan who preceded her in death. Mrs. Irelan was a long time member of the Christian church. She leaves two brothers Sam Sterner of Cozad, Neb., and Charles Sterner, of Galloway, Neb., besides several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Polk officiating and burial will be made in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Cincinnati, Iowa.
