G.N. Puckett Buried Here Wednesday Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock p.m. in the First Baptist Church for George N. Puckett who died Monday at the age of 84. Rev. Gene Richey officiated at the service and burial occurred in the Blanchard Cemetery under the direction of Capitol Hill Funeral Home. Mr. Puckett is remembered here by many who knew him at Blanchard School. He served as custodian of the school for more than 20 years and every school child dearly loved him. He was born October 26, 1865 in Mississippi and on June 20, 1888 married Fannie Webb; to that union four children were born: Clifton, who now resides in Blanchard, Minnie, Ernest and Troy, all preceded him in death. In 1901 he married Mary Elizabeth Seago Cochnauer, a widow. She died in 1903. To this union one child was born; Georgia Ethel Puckett Morgan, now residing in Wichita Falls, TX. In 1907 he married Mrs. Ella McDonald Woodard who preceded him in death in 1937. To this union was born two children who died in infancy. He is also survived by one brother, R.C. Puckett, Blanchard; one sister, Mrs. Lillian Puckett Turner, Ardmore, eight step-children, Hugh Woodard, Sulphur, James H. Cochneuer, Blanchard, Marion M. Cochneuer, Modesto, CA; Mrs. Effie Royer, Mrs. Vada Moore, Mrs. Mary Webb, Mrs. Ernie Peters all of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Ella Cochnauer Wall, Bokchito and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Serving as casket-bearers were Walter Casey, Lee Bowser, W.E. Greenwood, Sam Wheless, A.J. Terrell and George Hale.
