Bio

Francis Leo DeMuth, 77, of Chelan, WA and Sun City, AZ, passed away January 21, 2004. He was born into a pioneer family on September 20, 1926 in Bellwood, NE. The seventh and youngest child, he was preceded in death by his parents Nicholas and Margaret (Didier); brother George; three half-brothers, one half-sister, and son Michael. Mr. DeMuth married Reinaldes (Nell) Schadegg on Nov. 19, 1946 in Kimball, Nebraska. When first married, he Worked his way up from managing a grain elevator, to Lineman for REA, to project manager for Eagle Construction, J.A. Jones, Voigt, and the State of California. His last jobs Were as project manager for the Grand Coulee Dam third powerhouse and the Central Arizona Project pumping plant. He retired in 1989 in Chelan, WA. A kind and supportive husband and father, the loves of his life were his family, his faith, golfing, and traveling. He was a Catholic Eucharistic minister, learned through self-education, and was respected and admired by all he met and worked with. He is survived by one brother, Clement; his wife, Nell; sons Robert, Bill, Paul, Steven; daughters Jeanette, Carol, Mary; thirteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass was on January 28, 2004 at St. Clement's and final resting place is Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City.
