Bio

Reinaldes "Nell" (Schadegg) DeMuth, 92, of Spokane, WA passed away on December 28, 2020. Nell was born on November 4, 1928, in Sharon Kansas, to Mathew and Clara (Hrencher) Schadegg. She married Francis on November 19, 1946, in Kimball, NE and went on to raise their large family throughout the US as Francis' career required travel. Nell's loves were her family and her Catholic faith, above all else. She spread her love through cooking and baking favorite treats, making hand-crafted gifts, and often selling crafts at craft sales for charity. Nell was also a skilled golfer, scoring holes-in one at ages 67 and 72. And she loved to play cards, most recently with her great friends from the Immaculate Heart Retreat Center. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo, get-togethers and other activities with the "girls" - her very special friends at Moran Vista. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Francis, on January 21, 2004. In addition to her husband and parents, Nell was predeceased by her infant son, Michael; her sisters: Adeline Kind and Mary Hergenreder; and a brother, Raymond Schadegg. Nell is survived by her sons, Robert (Becky), Bill (Judy), Paul (Jackie), and Steven (Jamie); three daughters, Jeanette Jarvis (Lee), Carol DeMuth, and Mary Varner (John); seventeen grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Due to COVID restrictions, a private burial and interment will take place on Monday, January 4, 2021. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Immaculate Heart Retreat Center, 6910 S. Ben Burr Rd, Spokane, WA 99223. The family of Nell DeMuth would like to thank everyone for their kind words and expressions of sympathy. Published in Spokesman-Review on Jan. 3, 2021.
