Jehu Richards came into Calhoun County on horseback. It is told that Jehu had a fight with a man in NC and believed that he had killed him. Jehu married Mary Frances Stribling and they were the parents of eleven children: 1. Daniel M. Richards 2. Thomas O. Richards 3. Mariah Richards 4. Mary Jane Richards 5. Jehu T. Richards 6.
