Printed in the Times Post , Houston, Mississippi dated May 19 1955 Mrs. Lucy Blissard, 92, is Laid to Rest Services were conducted from Georges Chapel Tuesday, May 17, for Mrs. Lucy Adaline Blissard, resident of Calhoun county, who died Monday, May 16 at 4:40 pm, at the home of her son, J J Blissard, Houlka, Rt. 1. She was 92. The Rev. Oscar Nabors and the Rev. Morris Knox officiated. Interment was in Georges Chapel with Kilgore-Norman Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Dean Blissard, James Lucius, Neely Blissard, Curtis Blissard, Vernon Reeves, and Mack Hinton. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Fannie Lucius of Nashville, Tenn.; four sons, Marvin of Nashville; J J, Alonzo and Will, all of Houlka, Rt. 1. Fifteen grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Blissard was the daughter of the late J Hugh Richard, native of Alabama. Her mother was a Stribbling.
