Theodore Zeleny, 94, of Schuyler, died Nov. 25, 2011, at the Golden Livingcenter in Schuyler. Funeral services were Nov. 26 at Kracl Funeral Chapel in Schuyler. Burial was at Schuyler Cemetery with military honors. Memorials may be sent to the family's wishes. Theodore Zeleny was born March 25, 1917, in Abie, to Charles and Frantiska (Pecha) Zeleny. He graduated from Schuyler High School and served in the United States Army Air Force from 1942-45 as a clerk/typist and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant E-6. On Sept. 25, 1945, he married Jean Munford in Basingstoke Hampshire, England. They made their home in Schuyler where Ted worked for Oberg Hatchery, Zelenda Produce and Gaeth Hatchery. He later worked as a janitor at the Schuyler Grade School, drove a school bus and finally worked as a security guard at Cargill Meat Solutions in Schuyler. He is survived by three daughters, Sandra Limbach, of Columbus, Sarah (Rick) Hollandsworth, of Lincoln, Tammy (Owen) Lovell, of Columbus; twin sons, Gregory Zeleny, of Billings, Mont., and Gary Zeleny, of Schuyler; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jean, five sisters and seven brothers.
