Bio

Monroe Lee Dreadin, 78, of Chickasha OK, was born on February 25, 1933, in Chickasha, the son of Milton Monroe Dreadin and Hattie Pearl Hill. He died on November 23, 2011, at home in Chickasha. Monroe grew up in Chickasha and attended Chickasha Public Schools. He served in the United States Air Force from November 1951 to December 1956. He married the love of his life and wife of over 55 years, Ruby Combs, on December 7, 1955, in Columbus OH. Monroe always worked hard to provide a loving home for his family. He was employed as a truck driver for 19th & Seco Company for 20 years before working as a self-employed truck driver. He retired in 1979. He was preceded in death by both parents, two sisters, and one brother. Survivors include his wife Ruby Dreadin of the home, daughter Debbie Ann Keel of Chickasha, son Robert Warren Dreadin of Chickasha, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2011, in Fairlawn Cemetery. (Obituary from Ferguson Funeral Home, Chickasha OK)
