Pearlie Mae Nixon, 72, of Chickasha, OK, passed away on Aug. 25, 2001 in Chickasha, OK. She was born on April 5, 1929 in Jacksboro,TX to Melton Monroe Dreadin and Hattie Pearl Hill Dreadin. She was a member of the Church of God and also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, reading, her children and grandchildren. Pearlie Mae is survived by her husband, Harold Nixon of the home. They were married on Dec. 3, 1994 in Chickasha, OK. She is also survived by three children, Denny Verl Clanton, Dane Timothy Clanton and Darin Deon Clanton. Grandchildren are Jeremy Miles Clanton, Jon Chad Clanton, Willie Adkins, Ray Holden, Cory Douglas Clanton, Stephanie Holden, Misty Clanton, Brandy Clanton, Amanda Clanton, and DeOnna Clanton. One great grandchild, Tyler Holden. She has two brothers, Monroe Dreadin and Bobbie Dreadin and one sister, Jean Tobey. She is preceded in death by both parents; one daughter, Rhonda Marlene Clanton and one son, Jerry Douglas Clanton; and one sister, Wanda Fae (Sissy) Dreadin. Funeral arrangements are with B. G. Boydston Funeral Home in Lindsay, OK. A graveside service will be held in Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Chuck Davis officiating.
