Bio
Perry McClure Graham settled into Jefferson, Cass County (now Marion County) in 1848. He was appointed U.S. Postmaster of Jefferson on 26 February 1849. He became a charter member of the Jefferson, Masonic Lodge #38 AF&AM on 24 January 1850. Perry maintained a residence at the Soda Lake Hotel, located at S. Jackson Street between Austin and Dallas Streets. He and his brother Charles Gibbs Graham owned and operated a dry goods and grocery store; P.M. GRAHAM & BROTHER along Dallas Street, Jefferson, from 1851 to 1855. Perry McClure Graham had two marriages; Madeline Hester Darby on 13 December 1854 in Cass County, Texas and to Kaziah Francis Rogers on 01 July 1861 in Gilmer, Upshur County, Texas.
