Bio

Maurice Clegg Bird passed away peacefully at his home of causes incident to age on Fathers Day evening, June 15, 1997. He was born in Springville, Utah, on July 11, 1903, to Wallace and Verona Clegg Bird . He married Mary Elizabeth Wiliams of Spanish Fork on September 25, 1929, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She passed away in 1987. Maurice's parents, his three brothers, his beloved wife, Mary , and his son, Wallace , preceded him in death. Surviving are three children: Marian (L. Douglas) Smoot; Mary Jane (Grant H.) Palfreyman; and Richard M. (Jane) Bird; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and his first great-great-grandchild. Burial was June 20, 1997.
