Mary Elizabeth Williams Bird, 80, of Springville died September 11, 1987 at Mountain View Hospital. She was born November 17, 1906 in Spanish Fork to Edward and Elizabeth Jane Bowen Williams . She married Maurice Clegg Bird on Sept. 25, 1929 in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her husband, one son and two daughters; Richard M. Bird, Tempe, Arizona; Mrs. Douglas (Marian) Smoot, Provo; Mrs. Grant (Mary Jane) Palfreyman, Springville; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Verl White, Beth Johnson, Jane B. Nelson, all of Spanish Fork. Preceded in death by one son, Wallace E. Bird .
