Bio
Y.R. Mulder Passed Away Mr. Y.R. Mulder passed away at the Oelrich hospital early Monday morning, Nov. 2, 1942 at the age of 76 years. He had been ill for several months with cancer and entered the hospital just a week ago Monday. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov. 5 at twelve o'clock at the home and at 12:30 at the First Ref. Church with the Rev. L.A. Brunsting officiating. Burial will be made at the cemetery at Edgerton, Minn. Six sons acted as pallbearers. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mulder, and nine sons: Dick and Charles both of Holland, Mich., Will, Peter, Ted and John all residing at Edgerton, Minn., Sam of Artesia. Calif., Ernest of Sioux Center and Clarence of Rock Valley, and one daughter, Rena (Mrs. Wm. Van Eldik of Rock Valley). Also 29 grand children and one great grand child. Mr. Mulder was born in the Netherlands and spent the last 20 years of his life in Sioux Center and Carmel. The first Mrs. Mulder passed away 24 years ago, In 1922. He was united in marriage to Mrs. Remmerde of Carmel. Mr. Mulder was very active in church and community life up to the time when ill health did not permit him to be up and around.
