Bio
Mrs. Nelle Husband, 73, a former Ava resident, died in St. Mary's Hospital in East St. Louis Saturday following an illness of one month. Mrs. Husband was born in Elkville in 1880, and moved from Ava to the East St. Louis area in 1929. She was married in 1904 to Walter L. Husband, who survives. She also leaves two daughter, Mrs. Ruth Tragnitz and Miss Mary Louis Husband, both of Chicago. Mrs. Husband was a member of the Queen City Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Winstanley Garden, the Optimist Club, and the Jackson County Club of East St. Louis. Friends may call at the Wilson Funeral Home in Ava after 9 a.m. Tuesday until the hour of services, Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, Mrs. James Bateman of Murphysboro reader. Burial will be in the Ava Evergreen Cemetery.
