Bio

Ollie Belle Reynolds, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Reynolds was born October 21, 1886 at Shelbyville, Illinois and passed away May 16, 1968 at the Rosary Hospital in Corning, Iowa at the age of 81 years, 6 months, and 25 days. She was united in marriage to Samuel Joseph Wallace, on October 15, 1902 at Shelbyville, Illinois. Shortly after they moved to the Nodaway Community where Mrs. Wallace made her home until moving to the Northgate Manor Nursing Home in Corning, Iowa. To this union seven children were born , five of whom survive; Mrs. Edna McPherson of Seattle, Washington, Leslie Wallace of Loveland, Colorado, Mrs. Alta Dorsey of Renton, Washington, Glen Wallace of Nodaway, Iowa, and Mrs. Evelyn Moore of Augusta, Kansas. Those who mourn her passing are her five children, three sisters, Mrs. Elva Farnsley, Mrs. Ann Douglas, of Des Moines, Mrs. Julia Phillips of Uldah, California; two brothers, Edgar Reynolds of Hopkins, Missouri and Wayne Reynolds of San Bruno, California; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a host of friends and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, two children, her parents, and three sisters. Mrs. Wallace was an active member of the Nodaway Methodist Church since 1931 and was a faithful and active member of the WSCS and WRC.
