Des Moines Tribune Des Moines, Iowa · Tuesday, January 22, 1980 Services for Elva M. Farnsley, 90, of Norwalk, who died of a heart ailment Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at McLaren's Resthaven Chapel. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery in Booneville. Mrs. Farnsley was born in Shelbyville, Ill., and lived in several Iowa towns before moving to the Norwalk area 42 years ago. She was a retired beautician and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Indianola. Survivors include three daughters, Doris Hickman of Des Moines, Evelyn Miller of Norwalk and Nedra Florer of Clear Lake; two sons, Peter G. and Jack, both of Des Moines; two sisters, Julia Phillips of Ukiah, Calilf., and Anna Douglas of Covington, Va.; 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. The family suggest memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
