Bio

Funeral services will be held today at 2:30 p.m. in the Nunnelly-Stanley Chapel of the Chimes for Philip F. Huckabay, 71, of 2020 10th Avenue, a Gulf refinery retiree and 51-year resident of Port Arthur who died Friday at 3 a.m. in St. Mary's hospital after a lengthy illness. Dr. Robert E. Smith, pastor of the Fourth Avenue Baptist church, and the Rev. Franklin T. Jones, pastor of the First Presbyterian church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Huckabay was a native of Myrtice, La., and was a Baptist. He retired Feb. 1, 1959, after 34 years with Gulf. Father: Benjamin Huckabay Mother: Alice Thompson
