Published in the Wasatch Wave, 17 Nov 2011 Leora V Brown Luke Our dear angel, Leora Luke, left this world to enter into another journey on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, surrounded by her family. She was our wife, mother, grandmother and friend, "she ran a good race". Born Feb. 25, 1931, in Monroe, Utah, the daughter of Austin and Vada Newby Brown. Her childhood was spent in Koosharam, Utah. She married her lifetime companion, Charles Douglas ‘Doug' Luke on Dec. 28, 1948. Together they had six children. Our angel mother enjoyed many pastimes which included ceramics, embroidering, camping and baking. Her greatest joy was her husband, family and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband, Doug; children: Boyd (Pam) Luke, Melvin Luke, Vicki (Randy) Warenski, Becky (David) Martinez, Zachary (Wendy) Luke, Zelda Vandemyle; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A special thanks goes out to 1st Choice Home Health and Hospice and their staff. Graveside services were held Tuesday, Nov. 15, in the Midway City Cemetery, 500 South 750 West, Midway.
