She was born Nov. 1, 1892, in Vernal, Utah, where she spent her childhood and attended schools. In 1913 she [sic] married to Bruce H. Kettle at Vernal. He died at Fruita in 1960 where he had worked as a farmer since 1917. In 1964 she was married to Stephen A. Adams, and they lived in Pleasant Grove, Utah, for 11 years until Mr. Adams death in April. He was also a farmer. Mrs. Adams was active in the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints in Fruita. In addition to church activities, she enjoyed flower gardening. Survivors include two daughters;[sic] Mrs. Altha VanDenHeuvel of Fruita; Mrs. Iris Coleman of Salt Lake City, Utah; four sons, Elden Kettle, of Huntington, Utah; Iaray B. Kettle, Harry Kettle and Clifford Kettle, all of Fruita; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. --The Dailey Sentinel (Grand Junction, CO) Aug. 14, 1975
