Mary L. Holton, 85, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at The Church at Quail Creek. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mary Louise Holton was born July 24, 1926, to Orval J. and Gertrude Forbis in Meadow. She graduated from Lubbock High School and attended Texas Tech University. Mary belonged to The Church at Quail Creek and was a devoted Christian. She was preceded in death by her mother; father; a brother, the Rev. Allen C. Forbis and wife Ethelyn; and a baby niece, Lynette Forbis. Survivors include her daughter, Teena Davis and husband Tim; two granddaughters, Sharon Burris and husband Cash and Alisha Davis; a great-granddaughter, Ashton Burris; and a sister, Nana Burch all of Amarillo.
