Bio

She was born October 26, 1919 at Humboldt, NE to the late Harvey and Alma (Mehlin) Taft. She married Walter L. Schuetz and they were later divorced. Maxine was born at Humboldt and moved to Falls City in 1934 with her parents and family. She did sewing in her home and later worked at Community Medical Center; later she moved to Colorado for several years and then returned to Falls City and has lived here since. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 20th & Towle, Falls City. Maxine is survived by her sister, Harvina Thomas and husband John, sister-in-law, Helen Taft both of Falls City, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Cleo Taft, sisters, Verine Vogt and Naomi Harshbarger. Maxine's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
