Funeral Monday for E. Kuklish Funeral services for Emanuel Kuklish were held Monday morning at the Catholic church in Elyria, Rev. Shumski officiating. Sunday evening rosary services were held at the home. Interment was made in the Elyria cemetery. Mr. Kuklish, a blacksmith in the Elyria community for 30 years, came to the United States in 1909, going directly to Custer county. He moved to Valley county two years later, living on a farm west of Ord, then moving to Elyria where he lived the remainder of his life. He was born Dec. 16, 1873 in Bohemia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kuklish. He married Petrolmia Kral in that country in 1898. Left to mourn are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Mary Swigardt, who lives at Scottsbluff, three sons, Joe of Elyria, Barney of Ord and Frank who is serving in the U.S. Army in Australia. There are also six grandchildren, four brothers, Joe of St. Paul, Jerry of Minnesota, Bill and Louie of Sargent, and one sister Mrs. Charles Pokorney of Burwell.
