Bio

John first married in 1912 to Ellen Cherry, born Feb. 23, 1897, and died 1916. They had 1 daughter Oleta Dickey born in 1914. ------ John Cyrus Dickey owned the City Cafe in Clarendon. He moved to Amarillo six months ago to accept a position as Deputy Sheriff of Potter County. He was formerly Chief of Police in Dalhart. Survived by his wife; one son - L.D. Dickey; one daughter - Oleta Smith; two brothers; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Donley County Leader June 6, 1957
