Lora Maygarden Walters January 14, 1917- November 4, 2011 Mrs. Lora Maygarden Walters was born January 14, 1917 in Pensacola Florida and passed away at age 94 on November 4, 2011. She was a lifelong resident of Pensacola and a member of Richards Memorial Methodist Church. After graduating from Pensacola High School in 1935, Lora played basketball for a ladies league in Pensacola where she met her husband to be, Judge S. Walters. They were married in 1937 and inseparable for nearly 74 wonderful years. She became an excellent cook and homemaker dedicating her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was the bookkeeper and owner with Judge at Walters Auto Top Shop. Lora was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Myrtis Maygarden and great grandson Coby Cates. Survivors include husband Judge Walters; daughter Shirley Faye Pyle, son Kent (Jan) Walters; grandchildren Robyn (Chris) Wong, Shanon (Bill) McKay, Cameron (Mark) Cates, Brittany Walters, Brigette Walters; great granddaughter Lora Wong; sister Ruth McDonald, and brother Louis (Jean) Maygarden. The family expresses their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staffs of Gulf Breeze Courtyard and Emerald Coast Hospice.
