Louis Ameal Maygarden, Jr. Pensacola - Louis Ameal Maygarden, Jr., a native of Pensacola and one of the original Brownsville Boys, passed away on April 26, 2018. Louis was preceded in death by his parents Louis A. Maygarden, Sr., and Myrtis Perdue Maygarden; sisters Lora Walters and Ruth McDonald; and, grandson Charles Maygarden. Louis' wife of seventy years, Jean Saxon Maygarden, along with sons, Jerry and Randy Maygarden and daughters-in-law Rhonda and Phyllis Maygarden, are left to cherish his memory. PawPaw is also survived by four grandchildren—Louis, Judge, Kendall, Morgan, six great grandchildren—Conner, Claire, Eli, Sydney, Emma and Addie—and, former daughter-in-law, Pam. Funeral services will be held at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. The Reverend Dr. Wesley Wachob of First United Methodist Church of Pensacola will conduct the service of resurrection at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 30, 2018. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM and Louis will be interred immediately following the service at Bayview Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Trip Maygarden, Judge Maygarden, Tim Gleason, Jeff Hampton, Kent Walters, Richard McDonald, Chuck McDonald, and Mike Saxon. The family request that contributions be made to the UWF Foundation Endowment Fund for the L. A. Maygarden Center for Financial Literacy, the Heritage Fund at Azalea Trace, or the Scottish Rite Foundation Fund for Childhood Language Disorders.
