THE BOWIE NEWS 15 FEBRUARY 1953 BOWIE, Tex. Feb. 15 (Special) Elton Alton Carver, 33, former resident of Montague County for many years, died Friday in Monterrey, Calif. He was a resident of Salinas, Calif. Funeral arrangements are pending at Owens-Brumley Funeral Home of Bowie. Carver, a veteran of World War Two, lived in Montague County through out most of his life prior to entering service during the war. He was born at Sunset, Texas, on June 4, 1919. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Nannie Carver of Bowie; five brothers, Harry of Jacksboro, Archie of Mineral Wells, Arvel of Graham and Roland and Rollin, twin brothers who live in Salinas, Calif; five sisters, Mrs. Edith Morgan of Houston, Mrs. Lena Allen of Ringgold, Mrs. Veta Jeffrey of Jacksboro, Mrs. Pearl Ingram of Fort Worth and Mrs. Reeda Glisson of Hayward, Calif. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Elton married Vader on 01 Sept. 1940 in Jacksboro, Jack County, Texas. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Elton is a WWII Veteran ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
