Obit: Oct 1, 1936 Funeral services for Ed Ray, 79, were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Ural with Rev. Walter Crane officiating. Mr. Ray died Saturday, Sept. 26 following an illness of about eight months. He and Mrs Ray resided at 603 West Eighth street, Elk City. He was born in 1857 at Avaredo, Texas, to Sarah Margaret Baily. They moved to Beckham county in 1922. The deceased was a member of the Christian church. Survivors are his widow and four children, Mrs. Callie Woodson, Elk City; Mrs. Lettie Smith, Borger, Texas; Jessie Ray, Otto, Texas; and Ernest Ray, Electra, Texas.
