Paternal Gr-Dau of: James Marion Ray(b. about 1818 at possibly Troup County, GA; died between 1856 and early 1860) & Caroline Bennett (middle name Collins - her maternal grandmother was Sarah Collins Waters) (b. either GA or Perry Co., AL, 1819; d. 1890; buried and grave marked at Barnesville Cemetery, Alvarado, Johnson Co., TX). Callie was dau. of Edward Michael 'Ed' Ray(2 Aug 1857, Mindon, Webster County, LA-died: 26 Sep 1936,Elk City,Ok) & Sarah Margaret 'Maggie' Bailey(b. Jan. 1860, d. 1940; twin sister Hannah Adeline lived to marry a Wilkerson, see 1880 census, Collin Co., TX). The siblings of Callie Ray Woodson: Thomas Edward(1878-1878), Mary Lettie(1884), Jesse Felix(June 1886-01 Jan 1956), Earnest Sterling(1893-1973) & Sadie Adeline 'Sarah' Ray(b. 1891- d. either late 1910 or early 1911; married William Ewards/Edwards.)
