Her death was unlooked for and she was sitting in a chair when the grim messenger came. Funeral was held on Tuesday. ''''''''''''' Genoa Times (Genoa, Nebr.), February 5, 1904, p. 5, col. 3 & 4 Mrs. Camille Champe Mrs. Camille Champe died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Olson, of Council Creek, last Sunday morning at 2:30. Funeral services were held Tuesday, and the remains interred in Council Creek cemetery. Last June Mrs. Champe, who was not in good health, suffered a severe blow in the loss of her baby boy, aged 8 months. From that time she failed rapidly. On the advice of her physician she was taken to Colorado in the hope that the climate of that state would prevent an attack of tuberculosis with which she was threatened. But she continued to grow worse, and when her case became hopeless, she asked to be taken home to father and mother where she could spend the time she had to live among the scenes of her happy childhood days. She arrived home the 10th of last month, fully aware that the end was near, but sustained by that Christian faith which she practiced in life, and which was her strength and hope when the hour of dissolution came. Deceased was born in Columbus on November 3, 1875. In 1879 her parents moved to Nance county where Mrs. Champe grew to womanhood. She attended the district school and the Genoa high school, and then finished her education in the Cotner University and Lincoln Normal. On September 6, 1899 deceased became the wife of G. F. Champe, who, with a son three years old, survive her. Mrs. Hugh E. Soule, sister, and Ole, Otto and Fred, brothers, were all present at the funeral. ___ col. 4 Card of Thanks. We wish to extend our most sincere thanks to, and express our gratitude for the many acts of kindness on the part of friends in our hour of sorrow and affliction. OLE OLSON AND FAMILY.
