Sapulpa — Jay Calvin Phillips Jr., 74, retired Carpenters Local 943 business representative, died Sunday. Service 10 a.m. Wednesday, Smith Funeral Home Chapel. ********** This is a full obituary from Smith Funeral Home. Jay Phillips Jr. of Sapulpa passed away Sunday July 11, 2010 at the age of 74. He was born April 7, 1936 in Jay, OK to Jay and Nettie Phillips. Mr. Phillips was a Carpenter and Business Rep for Local 943 Carpenters Union. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and three sisters. Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife Linda of the home; children, Carman Robinson and her husband James of Broken Arrow, Jo-Lynn Turner and her husband Marty of Tulsa, Larry Phillips and his wife Jennifer of Sapulpa. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and sisters Ora Whitchurch of Picanyume, Mississippi and Anna Dobrinski of Bristow. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday July 14, 2010 10:00 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Loy Westbrook officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Herman Cemetery in Jay,OK.
