Bio
The Telephone Register, McMinnville, Oregon, Thursday, May 27, 1948 Final rites were held May 26 for Nellie King, who died in Forest Grove May 22. Rev. B. Earle Parker conducted the graveside service at the Evergreen Memorial Park. Nellie King was born October 28, 1881 in Benton county, Ark., and in 1904 she was married to Newton Edward King, who survives her. She was a resident of Cove Orchard. Other survivors include three sons, Sherman Edward and Herbert Marvin, both of Cove Orchard, James Preston, Wagon Mound, N.M., two daughters, Ava Alita Pation and Betty Meritha Spirgen, both of Joy, Okla.; two brothers, Jim Loftis and Sherman Loftis, both of Southwest City, Mo.; and three sisters, Meg Parker, San Diego, Calif., Nettie Phillips, Colcord, Okla., and Maude Skeggs, of Westville, Okla. Macy and Son Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.
