Julesburg Advocate May 27, 1970 Mrs Ben Mauser Blanche Opal Pocock, daughter of Ada and Glenn Pocock, was born in Nance County, Nebr., September 7, 1906. When still a young girl she moved to Big Springs with her parents where she resided until the time of her death, May 15, 1970, at the age of 63 years, 8 months and 8 days. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Woman's Society of Christian Service. She was a charter member of the Pioneer Rebekah Lodge No. 407. May 1, 1926, she was united in marriage to Ben Mauser in Sidney. To this union four children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Willie, and two sisters, Nina Kahl and Abbie Kahl. She is survived by her husband, Ben, and four children, Murl, Mildred Bieber, and Harold, all of Big Springs and Carol Boyer of Fort Worth, Tex.; three sisters Ethel Haring, Madison, Wisc., Lola Chandler, Lakeview, Ore., Lois Rallens, Big Springs; two brothers, Edgar Pocock, Big Springs and Harley Pocock , North Platte; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandson. Funeral services were May 18 at the Big Springs Methodist Church with Rev. Willis Harder officiating. Music was by Glen Kepler and Mrs Wayne Kjeldgaard. Her grandsons were pallbearers. Interment service was at the Big Springs Cemetery. Austin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Relatives from out of town attending the services were the James W. Boyers of Fort Worth, Tex.; the Mike Polks of Lincoln; Airman 1st class and Mrs Larry McCroden, Oxon Hill, Md.; Kent Mauser, Lincoln; Seaman Perry Bieber, Long Beach Calif.; Mr and Mrs James Jiminez, Cheyenne; Mrs Ethel Haring, Madison, Wisc,; the Harley Pococks, North Platte; the Wilber Everetts and Leonard Everett, Fort Collins; Dayton Olson, Denver; Mrs WIlliam Guyer and Mrs William Spaedt Sr., Golden; Cilfford Kahl, Omaha; the Raymond Pococks, Ord; the Vince Fosters, Grant; YO3 and Mrs Paul Pocock, San Diego; the Keith Kahls, Isabel, S.D; L.W. Kahls, Elvin Kahls, Duane Kahls, Donald Kahls and Allen Kahl Sidney; Chris Biebers, Holyoke; Ted Olson, Venango; and Mrs and Mrs Otto Aufrecht, Greeley.
