JoAnn Roberts July 4, 1932 Oct. 28, 2011 JoAnn Roberts, 79, of Waxahachie passed away Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at Pleasant Manor Living Center in Waxahachie. She was born July 4, 1932, in Waxahachie to Richard and Mattie Hullett Aday. JoAnn was a native of Ellis County and spent her life in the Waxahachie area. She loved God, her church and a large family that was special to her. JoAnn is survived by her husband, Earl Roberts; two sisters, Viola Fuller and Mildred Sneed both of Waxahachie; four step-sons and two step-daughters and many nieces and nephews along with their families. She never saw a child she didn't love. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband C.O. Collier and one sister. Retiring from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 36 years, she enjoyed life until four years ago when she became ill. A beautiful smile and personality to match is gone but will always live in the memory of all who knew her. A special thanks to Baylor Medical Center and a great and loyal staff of Pleasant Manor Rehab and Nursing Center for their love and great care. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Rennie Baker of First Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow at the Elms Branch Cemetery in Bardwell, Texas. Arrangements by Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
