Bio
Gertrude Elizabeth Strarup Wilhelm age 78 of austin died Thursday, October 6 1987. She was born in Rices Crossing, and lived in the Taylor area, she was a member of the St Pauls Lutheran Church in Taylor for manys before moving to Austin. Funeral services will be Monday at 2:30PM at the Faith Lutheran Church, with Pastor Dean Busboom officiating. Interment will be in Capital Memorial Garden. She was survived by two sons, Vohn Emil Wilhelm of Michigan, and Theodore Lorenz Wilhelm Sr of Austin. Sisters Irene Godin of California, and Meatha Michelsen of El Campo. Nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Emil Ernest "Ikey" Wilhelm, daughter Dorothy Price, and two grandchildren. The family would like to express special thanks to all persons who provided help and assistance through the years during her illness. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of Faith Lutheran Church, Austin Tx. Arrangements by Cook-Walden Funeral Home, Lamar location.
