Vohn Emil Wilhelm Born November 30, 1932 In Taylor Texas, to parents Emil Ernest "Ike" Wilhelm and Gertrude Elizabeth Strarup. He died May 5, 2006. In Ypsilanti Michigan. Both Parents and daughter-in-law Cherry Wilhelm preceded him in death. Vohn has four children: Paul and wife Terry Wilhelm of Phoenix Arizona, Tom and wife Juliet Wilhelm of Stockbridge Michigan, Ann and husband Dan Spires of Ypsilanti Michigan, Edward and wife Amy Wilhelm of Ypsilanti Michigan. At the time of death Vohn had seven grandchildren: Aaron (wife Heather) Wilhelm of Michigan, Sarah (husband Nathan) Horrex of the UK, Alysia (husband Jeremiah) Livingston of Oklahoma, Jessie Spires of Michigan, Zaharren Wilhelm of Michigan, Kyle Wilhelm and Kristi Wilhelm of Michigan. Two Great-grandchildren: Keanu and Heaven Wilhelm of Michigan. Vohn was an avid fisherman, he loved to fish on Lake Erie. He had a Naval career of 21 years, retired as Chief E-7. After retirement Vohn continued another 18 years in Aviation at Zantop, in Ypsilanti Michigan. He loved his faithful companion Calley dog. Services were through Stark Funeral Home in Ypsilanti Michigan. Vohn was cremated, ashes scattered on Lake Erie.
