Published in The Gazette on October 26, 2011 Wilburn Orion Bennett lived in Colorado Springs and Black Forest since 1978. He was a self-employed appliance repairman who could fix or build anything. He was born on January 17, 1922 in Rising Star, Texas to the late Wilburn and Ida Mae (Stovall) Bennett. Wilburn was preceded in death by Corinne Marie Bennett, his wife of 63 years. He is survived by two sisters, Fredda Mae Autrey and Jeannine Stewart; three children, Dale Bennett, Debie Bennett and Deena Bennett; six grandchildren, Scott Bennett, Laura Bennett Groszek, Daniel Matuszak, Carson Bennett, Cole Bennett and Logan Bennett; and seven great grandchildren, Kyra and Carter Bennett, Cameron, Leila and Preston Groszek, Cayden and Madeline Matuszak. Memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 20 Mesa Road, Colorado Springs, CO across from Sunrise Assisted Living Center. - married Corinne Marie Passarella on February 23, 1946 in Norfolk, Virginia
