Bio

According to his death certificate, James was the son of Wesley Leathers and Nancy Jane Beeson Leather, both natives of Orange county, Indiana. James married Diantha Emma Burgess (her 4th marriage) on 11 February 1892 in Wayne county. Daughter Myrtle was born in October of that year. Emma died a month after Myrtle turned 4 years old. James then married Ida Edith Clark on 20 January 1898 in Wayne county. The children of that marriage included Laura P., Ira Thomas, and Lura Mae Leathers.
