Bio

Lenora Emma Austin, 93, of Hoosier Christian Village, and formerly of Washington County, died Wednesday, April 30, 1997, at Seymour Memorial Hospital, Seymour, IN. Born 23 March 1904 in Saluda, IN to William E. and Martha Ann Cosden McKinley Holes. She married Roy E. Austin on 7 June 1930. He died Jan. 15, 1969. She resided in Washington County for 27 years, and was a former resident of Jennings County. Survivors include her children: Vernon E. Austin, Green Valley, AZ; Jesse and Glen Austin and Phyllis Hurley, Seymour; sister, Zoe Shull, McAllen, TX; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter. Funeral: Saturday, 3 May 1997, Spurgeon Funeral Home, by Rev. Morris Tippin officiating. Burial at Crown Hill Cemetery, Salem, IN. THE REPUBLIC, Thursday, 1 May 1997, Columbus, IN
