Bio

Marie Clearman, 83, of McGregor, passed away peacefully in her home Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Osage Cemetery in Osage with Pastor, Walter Davidson officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, at the First Baptist Church in McGregor. Marie was born in Royse City, Texas, to the late Byron and Lula Shook. In 1947 she met Billy Clearman and two months later on Aug. 2, they were married in Dallas. They moved to McGregor in 1960. Marie was a 51 year member of the First Baptist Church of McGregor and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 273. Marie enjoyed spending time with her family, golfing, traveling, and crocheting. She is survived by son, Larry Clearman, of Key West, Fla.; daughter, Cindy Clearman, of Temple; granddaughter, Melanie McNamara and husband, Steve, of Temple; grandsons, Josh Clearman and wife, Lisa, of Key West, Fla., and Matt Clearman, of Oglesby; and great-grandchildren, Halie, Hanna and Stephen McNamara, of Temple.
