Bio
Doris Emilie Balusek Janke of Houston was born March 20, 1936 in Holland and died on May 6, 2007. A Celebration of Life Service was held May 9 at Brookside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in Brookside Memorial Park. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who loved fishing, gardening, and most of all, taking care of her family. She was preceded by her mother, Emilie Balusek; father and stepmother Henry and Millie Balusek; brother, Robert Balusek; sister, Evelyn Spann; and son-in-law Tiger Grothe. Doris is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Larry Janke Sr; sisters Mary Ann Lange and husband Clarence, Val Hegar and husband Bob; brother, Dan Balusek and wife Martha; children Jeanne Gutierrez and husband Victor, Debbie Morgan and husband Mike, Larry Janke Jr and wife Trish, Todd Janke and wife Rachel, and Karen Grothe; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
