Dale "Unk" Henderson passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Marissa, Illinois on October 23, 1935. He was the youngest of six children to be born to Lydia and John Henderson. Dale grew up in Rock Springs, Wyoming and married his high school sweet heart, Lorraine Coulter. They were happily married for 55 years, before she preceded him in death last November. Dale and Lorraine moved extensively during their lives - Santa Barbra, CA, Springfield, MO, Wichita Falls, TX - Liberal, KS, Pecos, TX, Rocksprings, WY - Powell, WY, Evanston, WY - Spokane, WA, and Midland, TX. He was a jack of all trades some of them were as the manager of Several Woodworth's Stones, as a car Salesman and Oil Field related industries. He was very gregarious and never met a stranger. It was said Dale would talk to a post if it would stay still long enough. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Dale is preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Coulter Henderson. Dale is survived by their children, Arlene Fischer of Nowata, OK - Audrey and Rick Denman of Round Rock, TX - Barbara and Mike Magers of Midland, TX - Berta and Rich Parks of Midvale, UT - Darla and Adam Merket of Midland, TX and Diana Swinney of Midland, TX - nineteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Also, three sister-in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews throughout the country. Visitation will be at Ellis Funeral Home on Monday, October 24, 2011 between 6:00 -8:00 pm. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
