Bio

PLESS—Funeral services will be held for Hugo Pless, 85, of Bay City, 3 pm Tuesday at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Officiating at the services will be the Rev. Calvin G. Frisch. Pless died February 21 at Matagorda General Hospital. Survivors include wife, Alvina Pless of Bay City; daughters and sons-in-laws, Eleanora and R. L. Meyerdirk of Ashwood and Etherleta and M. E. Meyerdirk of Dayton; son, Leroy Pless of Bay City; son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Dorothy Pless of Houston; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Pless was a resident of Bay City since 1937, a veteran of World War 1 and a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers include Gerald L. Meyerdirk, Jimmy W. Meyerdirk, Melvin Pless Jr. Roger Sage Jr., Marvin Hartmann and Roy Hartmann. Arrangement with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home. Daily Tribune February 22, 1982
