Leroy Pless, 79, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in Longview, Tx. Leroy was born September 25, 1931 in Sealy, Texas to the late Hugo and Alvina Hoek Pless. He was retired from the U. S. Postal Service in Bay City, Tx. Leroy was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Bay City. He also served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his sister, Etherleta Meyerdirk and husband Milton of Gilmer, Texas; and by his brother, Melvin Pless and wife Connie of Houston, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Eleanora Meyerdirk. A graveside service will occur on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck, Texas with Rev. David Roach of Cedar Lane Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park
