Fort Worth Star-Telegram (TX) – Page 21 – Sunday, January 28, 1979: Funeral for Joseph Henry Dederichs III, 41, of 4315 Balboa Drive, will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, with burial in Laurel Land. Dederichs, a native of Fort Worth, died Thursday in a hospital. He was associated with Proctor & Gamble 16 years. Dederichs was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Bishop Dunne Council No. 2813 Knights of Columbus and was a veteran of the Air National Guard. He had been a Scout since his teens, and had served as a scoutmaster and cub scoutmaster. He received the Silver Beaver Award, the highest honor in Scouting in February 1977, and was past president of the Home and School Association of St. Andrews School. Surviving are his wife, Mary; a son, Joseph Henry Dederichs IV; two daughters, Misses Mary M. Dederichs and Kathryn Dederichs; his mother, Mrs. Helen Ringler Dederichs; and a brother, Charles Fred Dederichs, all of Fort Worth.
